Students and Famalies - End of School Year News
It’s very important to check in student devices at all schools before students leave for the summer. We need to ensure all of our inventory returns to schools, needed repairs are documented and made over the summer, and that devices are updated and cleaned. If your student was issued a device, contact your school to find out what day they are planning on collecting student devices. Please ask your students to make sure they bring the right charger and cord with their device when they turn it in.
Home Internet Access for Students
TSD continues to work on improving internet connectivity for students and their families. We recently received a grant from the Colorado Department of Education to work with Loveland Pulse to build the infrastructure needed to provide broadband internet connectivity to the communities of Lago Vista Mobile Home Park and Drake, CO by February of 2022. We also continue to assist other families through two main programs below. Contact the ITS Help Desk for more information at 970-613-7777 M-F from 8:00-4:00 pm.
- Comcast Internet Essentials offers discounted internet to low income families that qualify here. Some families may qualify for sponsorship by the Thompson Education Foundation. The cost is discounted for low-income families at $9.95 per month.
- A wired connection is preferred for bandwidth reasons, but if service is not available, and cell service is, a family might be eligible for a sponsored T-Mobile Hotspot if they qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. You can apply for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program here.
Graduating Seniors Google Account Transfer to Personal Accounts
Google accounts of graduating senior students will remain available through August. Graduating seniors can copy their school account to another account by using the directions found here. Students are prohibited from transferring data and files to a personal account that contain personally identifiable information on other students or TSD staff. So please be careful about what documents you download and transfer.
2nd - 12th grade student passwords will be changed automatically for students during the 1st week of school in August. Parents will continue to have access to student usernames and passwords through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. If you need to set up your Parent Portal account, start here. Student usernames will not be changed. Directions on how to find your student's password in Parent Portal can be found here.
