Thompson School District Names Tiffany Miller as Principal on Special Assignment
May 16, 2022 - Thompson School District announced today that it has named Tiffany Miller as “Principal on Special Assignment,” effective July 1. In her role, Ms. Miller will work with school and district leaders to push strategic initiatives, develop and monitor related projects, assist with implementation in schools and support principal learning.
Ms. Miller is currently serving as the principal of Conrad Ball Middle School in Loveland, a position that she has held since 2013. Before becoming the principal at the school, she worked as the campus’ assistant principal beginning in 2010. Ms. Miller began her career in education in 2006 as an elementary school teacher in Poudre School District.
The principal vacancy at Conrad Ball Middle School for the upcoming school year will be filled on an interim basis by Mr. Todd Ball, who retired last year as principal at Loveland High School after a long career within Thompson School District. Last year, the Thompson School District Board of Education voted to consolidate the school communities of Mary Blair Elementary, Monroe Elementary and Conrad Ball Middle School, and expand the middle school facility to create a new PK-8 site. The middle school campus will re-launch as a PK-8 school in the fall of 2023 and will be led by Valerie Lara-Black, who was named principal earlier this year.
“I’m excited to support the great work already happening in Thompson School District and look forward to working with each principal over the next year, taking our work to the next level,” Ms. Miller said. “Todd Ball is an excellent choice to fill the role of interim principal for Conrad Ball as we transition to a PK-8 the following year. I am thrilled he is able to come back and given his proven success, I am confident that our students and staff are in great hands. I’m sad to be leaving, but the best part of this new role is still being able to work with our T-Birds.”
Ms. Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Masters degree in Education Leadership from Colorado State University.
