TSD Names Jaymie Cruickshank as Principal of Thompson Valley High School

Thompson School District has named Jaymie Cruickshank as principal of Thompson Valley High School effective July 1. She will fill the position that was vacated by Lanny Hass, who has departed the district.

Ms. Cruickshank has been serving as interim principal since last month.  Her entire career in education has been within Thompson School District, starting as a teacher at Walt Clark Middle School in 1997 before joining the Thompson Valley High School staff as an assistant principal in 2012.

“I am so excited to be offered this opportunity,” Ms. Cruickshank said. “It's not often that a chance like this comes along to work with the people you love, in a beautiful community, with students who fill your heart.”

Ms. Cruickshank earned a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University and a master‘s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.  She is currently working on a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership and Instruction Methods from Grand Canyon University.
