Angie Geraghty

Thompson School District announced that Angela Geraghty has been named principal at Namaqua Elementary School, effective July 1.  She will fill the position that is being vacated by Dan Cox, who is departing the district.

Mrs. Geraghty currently serves as the principal of Stansberry Elementary School in Loveland.  The school will be closing following the completion of the current school year and the building will begin its transition into the district’s Early Childhood Education center.  Before coming to Stansberry Elementary in 2017, Mrs. Geraghty worked as an instructional coach and lead teacher at Cottonwood Plains Elementary School.

“I am very excited and honored to be joining the Namaqua community,” Mrs. Geraghty said. “I am looking forward to the upcoming school year and the chance to get to know the students, families and staff. I am greatly appreciative of the time that I have spent at Stansberry over the last two years. The Stansberry community will always have a special place in my heart.”

Mrs. Geraghty earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado, as well as a Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.
