As in the past, we began the year with our drawing unit and followed that with our painting unit. This year, we focused on painting the landscape of Loveland with images of Longs Peak, the foothills, and Devils Backbone. We moved on to a quick collage unit and now we are in our sculpture/clay unit.
Also, fifth graders have been working in collaborative groups to create marble run sculptures. Fourth graders have just finished fabric batik designs. We want to thank our departing student-teacher, Nancy Erekson, for all of her hard work and creative art lessons throughout the second quarter.
