Field trips can deepen and enhance curriculum taught in the classroom.

TEF Impact: TEF provides experience-based field trips for every 2nd and 4th grade student in TSD.

Economically vulnerable students struggle to have necessary school supplies.

TEF Impact: TEF’s Help Kids Succeed program provides approximately 1,500 TSD students with tools for success in the classroom each year.

Over 800 TSD students are identified as homeless each year.

TEF Impact: TEF raises funds to help homeless students overcome barriers that keep them out of school.

Classroom grants close curriculum funding gaps for teachers to implement innovative learning experiences for students.

TEF Impact: TEF has awarded over $220,000 in classroom grant support to TSD schools since 1999.

Music and art programs can make a lifelong difference in students’ lives.

TEF Impact: TEF provides financial support to music and art programs in each TSD school.

Postsecondary education is expensive and financial help can make a difference for students to move forward with plans.

TEF Impact: Since 2015, TEF has awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships.

    Honor excellence in education.

TEF Impact: All TSD educators are celebrated at the annual Educator Appreciation Breakfast and the Educators of the Year are announced.

These are but a few of the Thompson School District activities and programs that students can enjoy more fully, thanks to Thompson Education Foundation (TEF). Established in 1989, TEF is a privately funded nonprofit organization led by a board of community leaders committed to exceptional educational experiences for the students of Thompson School District.

On October 24, 2019, TEF will host Education is Everyone’s Business to raise support for TEF and all of our programs. This signature event will be celebrated at Embassy Suites Loveland and will feature drinks, food and more while we all join together as a community to support our students.

Also in October, TEF and several of our elementary schools will have Major Saver discount cards for sale. These locally focused dining and entertainment cards were a big hit last year!

There are two other fun events to mark on your calendar – the 12th annual Educator Appreciation Breakfast featuring the Educators of the Year award announcements on March 10, 2020, and the Loveland Classic 5K/10K in April 2020.

Thompson Education Foundation is the community’s best answer to support student and educator opportunities in Thompson School District. To donate, volunteer or find out more, you can find TEF online at www.thompsontef.org.
