    Early Childhood Programs 2022-2023


    Fall Registration

    Fall registration for all newly accepted Early Childhood children will be as follows:


    August 1, 2022, 1 pm – 6 pm for last names beginning with A – M (Recommended)


    August 2, 2022, 8 am – 1 pm for last names beginning with N – Z (Recommended)

    **If you’re unable to attend at the assigned time, please come when convenient.


    Registration will be held at the Early Childhood Center at Stansberry located at 407 E. 42nd Street in Loveland.     Tuition Paying Program

    Thompson School District offers a half-day, four-day-per-week tuition paying program at all Early Childhood sites. This program is open to children who will be 3 or 4 years of age by October 1 of the current year. There are a limited number of slots available and by application only. For an application and/or more information on the tuition paying program, please call the Early Childhood office at 970-613-5052.


    Head Start Program

    The Head Start Program provides services to children who are 3 or 4 years old as of October 1 of the current year. Children are enrolled in classrooms with developmentally appropriate curriculum and provided with nutrition, health and family support services. To be eligible, children must meet federal income and program guidelines.


    Colorado Preschool Program

    The Colorado Preschool Program provides services to children who are 3 or 4 years old as of October 1 of the current year. This program is funded by the state of Colorado to prepare children for success in school. To be eligible, children must have risk factors such as eligibility for free or reduced price meals, a history of frequent moves or other risk factors as identified by the State of Colorado.


    Special Needs

    Special Needs service options are available to children who meet federal and state guidelines for special education help in developmental areas. Children who meet these guidelines are eligible for services as of their third birthday. Services will be provided in a classroom setting.
