Two versions of the SAT will be given on this date, one with an essay and one without the essay. The essay is an additional 50-minute writing section added to the full-length SAT.
All juniors at Loveland High School are already registered for the SAT, and the default registration is for the non-essay version of the test. If you would like to have the essay added to your registration, students must choose to do so before Wednesday, February 14. Counselors will be in Computer Labs 121 and 122 during lunch on Monday, February 5 and Tuesday, February 6 to assist anyone who wishes to add the essay to their registration. These are the only times that staff will be available to help students opt-in to the SAT with essay. After February 14, students may no longer register for the SAT with essay.
If you are unable to attend a session with the counselors, or would like to add the essay on your own, here is a flyer with directions on how to do so. This still needs to be completed before Wednesday, February 14 at 10pm. https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/colorado-optional-sat-essay-flyer.pdf
