Dear Families:
We are reaching out today to provide you with information regarding TSD's upcoming middle school athletics schedule.
After careful review of guidance released by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), the State of Colorado and Larimer County officials, Thompson School District has decided to pause our middle school volleyball and swimming athletic activities for the upcoming fall season. This was a very difficult decision and it was made after careful consideration of what would be the best path to take in order to help ensure safety for each of our students and coaching staff. Due to the inherent outdoor structure of the activity, we will continue to offer Cross Country and will follow the state-approved CHSAA guidelines. Cross Country will have an official start date on Monday, August 24. Please contact your school if you have any questions regarding the registration process.
Our goal is to offer a modified season for the remainder of all middle school sports. The new calendar will begin on January 4, 2021. TSD staff will continue to monitor public health reports and partner with local and state officials for guidance in assessing future sports activities during the upcoming academic year. Below is a copy of the new NCAC calendar for your reference:

Again, thank you for your support and partnership as we continue to do what we can to offer excellent athletic opportunities to our students in a safe and healthy manner.
