John graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Health and Exercise Science, and then graduated Arizona State University with his masters in Physical Education and K-12 teaching license. John is in his fourth year as a physical education teacher, and has coached girls basketball since 2014.

John’s physical education philosophy is everyone is an athlete. He believes that everyone has the ability to be successful in whatever physical activity they choose to do, and that physical activity helps everyone better perform the activities they enjoy.

When not teaching, John can be found playing basketball, skiing, cycling, mountaineering, or training at his CrossFit gym.
