Mrs. Cathy Vanderpool
Cathy Vanderpool is excited to join High Plains School as an aide for Literacy Intervention. She is excited about this position because she loves helping kids become better readers. This will be her 7th year working as support staff in Thompson School District. Prior to her time with TSD she enjoyed a career as a stay-at-home mom. Prior to that she enjoyed a career as a registered nurse.
Cathy and her husband, Eric, have 3 kids: Braydon, Audrey and William; plus 2 cats: Pandora and Cinder. Cathy loves to spend time with her family and cats. They play games, watch movies, and eat ice cream together (the cats participate too by sleeping on someone's lap). Cathy also really enjoys reading all types of books, both fiction and nonfiction. She likes to hike and camp in the mountains, ride her bike along Northern Colorado's wonderful bike paths, and try to grow things in her garden.
Cathy is looking forward to getting to know the High Plains students and staff!
