Mrs. Chelsea Hirchert
Mrs. Hirchert is the half-time School Counselor at High Plains for all K-8 students, who previously served as the School Counselor at Centennial Elementary School (2019-2021). Prior to that, Mrs. Hirchert was a Mental Health Therapist LPC and Early Childhood Specialist for 8 years working to promote and model Social Emotional Learning (SEL) groups and coping skills with families, clients, and teachers in various preschools. Through these opportunities, Mrs. Hirchert gained a passion for supporting teachers, students, and families with SEL data and the emotional, behavioral, and social needs of children.
Mrs. Hirchert received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Mass Communications from Minnesota State University of Moorhead. She completed her Masters degree in Clinical Counseling with an emphasis in Family and Couples in 2012 from the University of Northern Colorado. Mrs. Hirchert has been a resident of Loveland, CO for the past 12 years and enjoys spending time with her friends and family, which includes her husband Ty, three young boys aged 2-7, and their rescue dog Gemma. She enjoys nature, and loves to hike, camp, canoe, snowboard, travel, paddle board, and play board games. Mrs. Hirchert strives to make Thompson School District a successful space for all students!
