Ms. Shauna Mayberry

Shauna is thrilled to begin her 20th year of teaching at High Plains School! Prior to this year, she taught 4th grade for three years and 2nd grade before that. This is the third school where she has had the opportunity to teach in the Thompson School District. Shauna earned her BA in Education at the University of Northern Colorado in 2000. Last May she earned her MA in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity from the University of Colorado.

Shauna lives in Loveland and spends her free time with her children and enjoys camping, paddle boarding, running, and reading. Her three children keep her quite occupied. Her oldest daughter is a UNC graduate who lives in Greeley with her husband. She has a daughter who will be a senior this year and a son entering 4th grade.

With the unique changes of the upcoming school year on the horizon, Shauna looks forward to building relationships with her students and families. She is dedicated to making this year a success for each child and values lifelong learning, perseverance, and facing challenges with optimism.
