Ms. Shauna Mayberry

Shauna is thrilled to begin her 21st year of teaching at High Plains School! Prior to this year, she taught 4th grade for four years and 2nd grade before that. This is the third school where she has had the opportunity to teach in the Thompson School District. Shauna earned her BA in Education at the University of Northern Colorado in 2000. In May of 2020, she earned her MA in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity from the University of Colorado.

Shauna lives in Loveland and spends her free time with her children and enjoys camping, paddle boarding, running, and reading. Her three children keep her quite occupied. She was blessed this summer with her first grandchild, so she spends much of her free time getting snuggles in as often as possible! Her oldest daughter is a UNC graduate who lives in Greeley with her husband and their daughter. She has another daughter who has recently graduated from high school and plans to be a para at an elementary school in the district.  Her son will be entering 5th grade at High Plains School.

As the school year approaches, Shauna is eager to get back into the classroom and build relationships with her new class. She values lifelong learning and loves learning alongside her students.
