Ms. Christa Natke

Christa Natke is the school psychologist at High Plains. She works with teachers, students, and families to provide all learners with a caring, safe, and challenging environment.  Her goal is to support students’ emotional and mental health needs and believes that all emotions are supposed to be felt and expressed. Her passion is teaching young children how to identify their feelings and express them in pro-social ways. She is also passionate about cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help students take charge of their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Christa is a proud supporter of wilderness, breakfast, and house plants.  Her approach is guided by her love of adventure, travel, and individuality.  She is currently inspired by Ron Swanson, Johnathan Van Ness, Adrienne Rich, and Mark Twain.

Christa holds a B.A. in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Dayton and an Ed.S. in School Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado.
