Mrs. Lindy Jones

Lindy Jones is excited about her role as STEAM Coach at High Plains School this year! 2021-2022 will be Lindy’s 23rd year in the Thompson School District. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a BA in Physical Science (1996) and an MA in Reading (2004). Lindy has taught many grade levels from 6-8 Elective courses and K-5 Innovation Specials, to 20 years in an elementary classroom grades K, 1, 4-5 combination and 5! Before teaching in the Thompson School District, she taught Conversational English in Miyazaki, Japan for two years. 

 

Her passion is finding new and creative ways to inspire others in a lifelong journey of learning and curiosity through collaboration, reflection and perseverance. As STEAM Coach, Lindy works to increase, improve, and elevate the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) throughout HPS learning experiences.

 

Lindy loves sewing, golfing, watching all sports and spending time with family. Her husband, Robert Jones, teaches 4th grade at Berthoud Elementary School. Their twin sons, Baylor and Lauden graduated from Loveland High School and are beginning their Junior year of Engineering at Colorado State University.
