Mrs. Lindy Jones
Lindy Jones is excited to switch roles at High Plains School this year from Innovation Specialist to Instructional Coach /STEAM Coach! She will also be the Yearbook advisor. 2020-2021 will be Lindy’s 22nd year in the Thompson School District. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a BA in Physical Science and an MA in Reading. Lindy has taught many grade levels from one year of 6-8 Elective courses and K-5 Innovation Specials, to 20 years in an elementary classroom grades K, 1, 4-5 combination and 5! Before teaching in the Thompson School District, she taught Conversational English in Miyazaki, Japan for two years.
As Instructional Coach /STEAM Coach, Lindy is excited to work with the staff and students at High Plains School. Her passion is finding new and creative ways to inspire others in a lifelong journey of learning through collaboration, reflection and perseverance.
Lindy loves sewing, golfing, watching all sports and spending time with family. Her husband, Robert Jones, teaches 4th grade at Berthoud Elementary School. Their twin sons, Baylor and Lauden graduated from Loveland High School and are beginning their Sophomore year of Engineering at Colorado State University.
