  • The Department of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) 

    supports TSD's Strategic Plan: Strive 2025 in all four areas:

    1) Student Achievement

    2) Inclusive and Supportive Culture

    3) Human Talent

    4) Stewardship of Resources

    Each activity below is connected to a Desired Outcome found in the Strategic Plan and is noted in parenthesis.

    Some of EDI's activities include:

    • Use student data to inform decision-making regarding increasing access and opportunity for all TSD students (1.1, 2.4, 4.1)
    • Support the development of inclusive and culturally responsive practices for all employees (2.2, 2.4, 3.1, 3.3)
    • Support inclusive community events and learning opportunities (2.2, 2.3, 2.4)
    • Promote welcoming, safe, inclusive schools and TSD facilities (2.1, 2.4)
    • Provide professional learning opportunities for equity and culturally responsive practices (1.1, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1, 3.3)
    • Enact the Educational Equity Policy (2.5) through the continued implementation of the TSD Educational Equity Framework

     

    The EDI Department shares TSD’s commitment to ensuring equity, access, and opportunity for EACH student while recognizing, honoring, and respecting EACH student as a whole child.
