Attention all Lucile Erwin Middle School 8th grade students and parents of 8th grade students: It’s time to Speak Up! Lucile Erwin Middle School, in collaboration with SAVA Center, is pleased to offer Speak Up!, an educational sexual violence prevention program, to all 8th grade students this school year.
This is an opportunity limited to 15-20 8th grade students per semester (different students each semester), and will be offered during Wildcat Connections on Wednesdays from 3:20 to 4:00. In this program, students will have the opportunity to discuss self-identity, healthy futures, and positive relationships. Speak Up! explores how influences like media and gender stereotypes affect our ability to form relationships, and identifies ways to support self-esteem and healthy decision-making.
If you have serious interest and would like more information, and to inquire about enrollment, you may contact Assistant Principal Tom Altepeter (tom.altepeter@
