Denae is excited to be back at High Plains School as a second grade teacher! Previously known as Ms. Andersen, Denae is excited to share the news that she got married this summer and is now Mrs. DeBey! Denae received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2016. She is going into her 6th year of teaching second grade. In the classroom, Denae focuses on the academic, social, and emotional needs of each child. She feels fortunate to work in a career that allows her to learn, be challenged, and laugh every day! In her spare time, Denae enjoys hiking, camping, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her friends and family. She also has a love for animals and has an adorable dog and cat at home. Denae is looking forward to creating an engaging and rewarding learning experience for her second grade students at HPS!
