I am excited for the adventure of teaching 6th graders at High Plains. I was born in Nebraska and moved every 3 to 4 years for my father’s assignments. It allowed me to experience many things and embrace change. My most memorable years were spent in Stuttgart, Germany visiting castles and traveling the countries. I have lived in Colorado the longest, attending middle school through college here.
My teaching career has taken me to Texas where I taught second graders, then to Georgia for 5 years also teaching second grade. I started as an interventionist for math and reading in Thompson then became a 5th grade teacher for the next 10 years. I have been part of the Thompson School District for the last 14 years and I love every new experience that teaching brings.
