• TMS Welcomes Our New 2020-2021 Staff

     Brett Andersen (7th grade Math)

Hey Turner families! My name is Brett Andersen and I teach 7th grade math. Before moving to Colorado in 2016, I lived in Davis, CA and Corvallis, OR. Outside of my enthusiasm for being a classroom teacher, my passions include coaching basketball and volleyball, spending time with my fiancé and traveling to anywhere with a beautiful view and great cup of coffee. I am thrilled to be part of the Turner community!

    Brett Bennett (Safety and Security)

I spent most of my adolescent life growing up in St. Louis, Missouri until moving to Loveland, Colorado with my family in 2012. I moved my senior year and graduated a semester early from Mountain View High School. After high school, I attended the University of Northern Colorado which is where I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2016. I have spent a little over 2 years in Law enforcement. Currently, my goal is to return back to college and earn my Masters in Public Administration paired with an associates in Radiology. In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, fishing, and anything outdoors. I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting you all.

Jessica Krakel (7th Grade Science (Sci-Com)

This will be my 16th year teaching Science, but my first year teaching at Turner. I am very excited to be a part of the TMS family! I have spent the majority of my life in northern Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Natural Sciences.  My husband, two daughters, and I love spending time outdoors together. In the summer, we enjoy camping, paddleboarding, and hiking and in the winter, we love skiing and snowshoeing.

    Frank Lee (Assistant Principal)

I'm excited about being at Turner Middle School and working with the students, parents, and other community stakeholders in the town of Berthoud! I was born in Canton, Ohio and I grew up in Georgia, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas on account of my father being an army officer. I attended Morehouse College for undergraduate school and Georgia State University for graduate school. I received my Principal License from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. I taught for 4 years in Atlanta, Georgia and nearly 3 years in Colorado Springs. This is my first year as a school administrator. I am a 4th generation educator and 3rd generation school administrator. Education is very, very big in my family. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, hanging out with friends and family, hiking, and volunteering in the community. I'm so excited to be a part of the Turner family.

Peter McFeely (8th grade Social Studies)

This is my second year teaching and my first year in Thompson School District! I was born and raised in Northern Colorado (Boulder, Fort Collins and Wellington). I have a BA in Political Science and a Masters in Education from Colorado State University. I love to travel, read, bike and play music. I LOVE social studies and can’t wait to explore American history, geography and economics with students at Turner!

    Aly Saalfrank (FACS)

Hello! I'm a Purdue University graduate, coming from Fort Wayne,  Indiana to teach Family and Consumer Sciences here at TMS. I'm so glad to be here!  I enjoy cooking, sewing, hiking, board games and hanging out with my little pup, Homer. I'm so excited to be teaching FCS and to help prepare students to become the best community members possible.
