    Forensic Speech and Debate Team

SHOULD YOU BE A PART OF OUR GREAT TEAM?

Forensic Speech & Debate is not one of those activities you have to shy away from if you are unsure about joining. Your uncertainty is even more of a reason to test the waters. Often, Speech & Debaters surprise themselves by what they take a liking to. So if in doubt, try it out!

Forensic Speech & Debate is a semi-academic club, with lettering opportunities, that supports and provides (state-wide) competition for students who are interested in performing dramatic scripts or debating current topics and who generally like speaking, acting, argument, improvisation, and performance.

Forensic Speech & Debate team members have the opportunity to win numerous awards and to travel to tournaments throughout Northern Colorado. Participation in tournaments is totally voluntary; students can compete consistently or whenever it is convenient. Regardless of your level of participation, forensic team members are able to have friendly competition whilst developing their self-confidence, speaking skills, and ability to organize and reason.

IN SPEECH & DEBATE, YOU WILL BE . . .

    learning to effectively argue

learning to defend a point of view

    gaining college appeal

and of course, there's much more!
