Nancy Payton is the secretary for High Plains School. Nancy started her career in education teaching 2nd and 4th Grades in California and Colorado. Nancy put aside her career to become an at-home mom to raise her 3 children (Hannah, Grace and Micah). Nancy returned to teaching as a Technology Facilitator and taught computers for over 9 years (3 years at HPS). She loves being a part of the office staff and working along side the wonderful staff and the amazing parents and students at the school.

In her spare time, Mrs. Payton likes to watch her son Micah play lacrosse for Colorado Mesa University Men's Lacrosse team - Micah is a Sophomore, watch her daughter Grace coach swimming for Loveland Swim Club while getting her masters at UNC, get worked on by her oldest daughter Hannah who works for One80 Physical Therapy as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, walking the family’s black lab (DeeOGee), kayaking, sewing, and spending time with her husband Steve. Mrs. Payton has been at HPS for 6 years and is going on her 7th year. She loves being a Bison and being one of the first people you speak with when you walk in the front doors.
