Mrs. Arika Schlagel

Arika Schlagel is excited to be returning to High Plains as the Instructional Coach! She has her degree in Elementary Education from Colorado Christian University and is going into her 11th year in education. Before joining the High Plains staff, she taught middle school math, 4th and 5th grade, and finally has spent the last few years as the K-5 Math Interventionist at High Plains. When she isn’t at school, Arika spends time with her husband, three kiddos, and one furry kiddo. :) She loves spending her spare time reading, boating, camping, traveling and participating in anything that has to do with sports. She has visited four different continents and plans to make it to all seven someday. Arika cannot wait to begin another year at High Plains and getting to know all the new families and seeing all the "old" faces of HPS!
