Design To Sew Club
The Design To Sew Club is busy for the 2017-2018 school year. To begin with, we made Mini Idea Book Covers for ourselves. Everyone needs an idea book to collect ideas for future projects and for taking notes on current projects. Ideas books are perfect for those on the go! We currently have two service projects we are working on. The first one is for Early Childhood. They are need of a lot of shelf covers and a cozy corner pillowcase. We hope to have them ready and delivered by the end of January. Our second project was a request for stethoscope covers for soon to be graduating nurses. Our favorite part of this project was setting snaps with a hammer and new snap setting tool. Last but not least, a big thank you to the Volunteers - Marilyn Burch, Allie Wise, Rebecca Ayers, Nanette Bertoni, and Amy Raisch who make this club a success. We also want to thank the anonymous community donors. We just recently bought material, thread, snaps, snap setting tools, 2 more irons with boards and seam rippers to make the work on our projects more efficient and enjoyable.
