Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Valerie Anderson
Welcome to Kindergarten! Your child's year will be filled with excitement: blossoming social skills, mastering sounds and words in print, and developing the concepts of numbers, just to name a few.
This is my ninth year in Kindergarten at Namaqua. As expectations have changed over time, one thing remains constant: children. They are curious, learn through play and love to explore. I design our days so that every child is able to experience success and pride in their work and develop a rich understanding of the standards required in Kindergarten.
I have been married for 28 years and we have been blessed with four terrific children. Our family has expanded to include my daughter-in-law and my grandson. Our house is hopping! Our family has lived in Loveland for 12 years and our hobbies include gardening, reading mysteries and enjoying meals together.
I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1987. I have taught 2nd grade in Utah, Head Start preschool, kindergarten and 6th grade in Wyoming, and 2nd and 3rd grades at Namaqua, as well as Special Reading. This year I will wear two hats. I will learn and grow with the half-day Kinders in the mornings, and work with students needing intervention in the afternoons. I am excited to embark on this new challenge.
