ISA students from Garfield Elementary, Bill Reed Middle School, and Mountain View High School participated in the community event Pastels on Fifth on September 15th. Students worked in conjunction to create a beautiful master piece based on the artwork of Georges Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grande Jatte. The Mountain View art students created the grid and drawing outline for the younger Garfield students to follow. The students used the grid as a guideline to add color to the artwork. Bill Reed students followed to refine the artwork by adding shading, details, and blending. The collaboration between students was simply amazing!
