By partnering with families and the community, we are dedicated to meet each student's diverse needs so they can dream big and reach their full potential.

    Describe: We have highly qualified and caring teachers who are committed to our families and our students. We focus on the growth of every child and build relationships that foster their sense of belonging. We value our community involvement and interactions with our staff and students. Monroe understands the importance of "team" and works closely with all those who will impact the lives of our students, both presently and in the future.

    Stellar Points: Monroe is a place to grow, academically and personally. We have great attendance at our family nights, in which parents learn ways to better support their children at home. We provide academic interventions before and after school and run a student council that reaches out to our community as well as supports our academic efforts. Our staff works in highly impactful vertical teams (K-2 and 3-5) to analyze data and adjust our instruction in order to meet the needs of each child.

    Special Offerings: Early Childhood program; hearing impaired program; strong relationship with feeder schools

    Extracurricular: Sign Choir, student council,  Battle of the Books, and before/after school academic interventions

    Climate: Welcoming culture and environment for new staff and students/families. We support one another as a well-rounded community of learners. Our school understands that everyone has a part in serving our students. Diversity makes us stronger!

    Accomplishments: Teacher presenters at state conferences; teachers regularly recognized through awards; staff recognized through district Gotchas – custodian recently recognized for keeping building clean and organized.

    Partnerships: Kids Hope program; Rotary Kid Packs; CanDo Colorado HKC; staff involved in district and community committees (classified evaluation, strategic plan, Master Plan, DAAC, etc.)

    Parent/Volunteers: Involved PTO and SAC. High levels of parent and community volunteers enter our building on a daily basis.
