Ivy Stockwell Elementary School
Mission: Challenge and engage everyone in our learning community to achieve at high levels in preparation for our ever-changing-world.
History: Ivy Stockwell Elementary was built in 1974 and opened its doors to students for the first time during the 1975-76 school year. The building was named for Ms. Ivy Stockwelll who was a native of the Berthoud area and taught in the Berthoud Schools for 51 years. The original building met the needs of the community until 1998 when approximately 6 classrooms were added to the structure.
Currently, Ivy Stockwell has a student population of approximately 320 students in grades K-5. The Ivy Stockwell attendance area encompasses the southern portion of the Berthoud Community. Most areas south of Mountain Avenue are within the Ivy Stockwell attendance boundaries. For specific information and a map of attendance boundaries, consult the Thompson School District website at www.thompsonschools.org
