Special Programs: Intensive Learning Center, math intervention, accelerated reading, reading recovery, giving tree food drive; Be Our Guest Breakfast once a year
Extracurricular: Yearbook, historical museum (5th grade), 4th/5th grade choir, fitness breaks, sensory room for breaks, PBiS night that drew 350 people, Read-a-thon, Spring Fling Carnival, Student Lighthouse Team.
Climate: We are like a family, welcoming and positive. We have a sense of anticipation about our focus – parents feel enfranchised and part of the process.
Award/Recognitions: TEF, Crystal Apple, and WalMart teacher awards; Partnerships with Lightening Hybrids, Colorado State Parks, and Solstice Art Studio; Kids Hope is starting up
Parent/Volunteers: Amazing and incredibly committed parent community and volunteers who love to come to our building. We have some fun activities that our PTO sponsors such as the Spring Fling Carnival, Be Our Guest Breakfast as well as the extremely effective and successful Giving Tree and food drive for the holidays where we help our own families in need!
