    2021-2022 Course Registration Timeline & Events

    Wednesday, January 20 - Credit Reviews/Graduation Planning

    • Adjusted bell schedule
      • Period 1: 9:30 - 10:41
      • Period 2: 10:46 - 12:42 (extended 40 minutes)
      • Lunch: 12:47 - 1:17 (20 minutes later than normal)
      • Period 3: 1:22 - 2:34
      • Period 4: 2:39 - 3:50
    • Students in grades 9-11 will complete full credit reviews with period 2 teachers during the extended class period
    • Credit review sessions will be held by LHS counselors for all TCO, TCC (AM), and FRCC (AM) students at 2:00 p.m.

    Thursday, January 21 - Credit Reviews/Graduation Planning

    • Students in grades 9-11 who do not have a period 2 class or are enrolled full-time at TOL/SOARS will be invited to a credit review meeting (Google Meet) hosted by LHS counselors. The meeting will be held during period 2 and begin at 10:15 a.m.

    Thursday, January 21 - Tuesday, January 26

    • Counselors will prioritize availability for students who need assistance with credit reviews and graduation planning.
    • 10-minute counseling appointments will be available as much as possible for all students

    Wednesday, January 27

    • Registration presentations for each grade level hosted by counselors:
      • Period 1: Freshmen
      • Period 2: Sophomores
      • Period 3: Juniors
    • Google Meet links for each presentation will be shared through Google Classroom prior to January 27
    • All registration materials will be electronically distributed to students during each presentation

    Thursday, January 28 - Tuesday, February 2

    • Counselors will prioritize availability for students who wish to review course requests.
    • 10-minute counseling appointments will be available as much as possible for all students

    Wednesday, February 3

    • Course requests due for students currently in grades 9-11

     

    Mental Health Matters Virtual Event

    On Thursday, December 10th, the LHS counseling department hosted a virtual presentation to support students and families through remote learning. Stephanie Seng, Director of the CSU Child Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center, delivered the keynote address. Following the keynote, presentations were given on the following topics: physical well-being, academic strategies and supports, and counseling supports.
