Aimee began teaching in 2008, though her peers would confess that she has been acting as a teacher much longer! She brings a wealth of teaching and performing experience- more than 13 years of teaching, performing and directing. Aimee participates in educational clinics and masterclasses and is Vice President of the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of National Association of Teachers of Singing.  She spent some time as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Front Range Community College in Fort Collins and has performed professional opera and music theater along the Colorado front range, including First Lady/The Magic Flute with Loveland Opera Theater and Kaye/The Taffetas at local dinner theaters. Aimee earned her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Colorado State University where she performed leading roles with CSU Opera (Countess/Marriage of Figaro, Susannah/Susannah) and received her BM in Vocal Performance from University of Northern Colorado. She holds a certificate from Internationali di Musica at the University of Urbino, Italy and is a certified CoreSinging(TM) Teacher, trained by founder Meribeth Dayme. In addition to teaching here, she owns a music studio called Songwoods Studio. Aimee is proud to be the Orchestral Conductor and Music Director for Fort Collins Children’s Theater.
