    Other Internship opportunities exist in our community and are offered to our current students and sometimes recent graduates.  Opportunities will be posted on thompsonschools.org/WBL and advertised district wide through various channels. 

    If specific course credit is not indicated below, Career Pathways Elective credit is awarded based on this scale (rounded down to closest number of hours):

    • 195 hrs = 1.5 cr        
    • 5 hrs = 1.25 cr        
    • 130 hrs = 1 cr       
    • 5 hrs = .75 cr          
    • 65 hrs = .5 cr       
    • 5 hrs = .25 cr

LCEWD Manufacturing and Healthcare Summer Internships:

  • Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development (LCEWD) in partnership with the Northern Colorado Manufacturing and Health Sector Partnerships, hosts paid internships with manufacturers and health care providers throughout northern Colorado.  Details about these internships (subject to change):

    • Summer internships - June to August
    • Paid positions - $13/hour
    • 250 total hours, some interns work less
    • Open to youth ages 16-18 (graduating seniors welcome to apply)
    • Application support is available including resume and interview preparation 
    • Applications typically open in March every year and close in early April

UCHealth Radiology Internship Program:

  • Radiology Interns independently complete research on the various imaging modalities (MRI, CT scan, Ultrasound, etc) and deliver presentations on their research to UCHealth Radiology staff.  For each modality, interns will participate in on-site job shadowing at Medical Center of the Rockies in the imaging department, emergency room, operating room, ICU, labor and delivery, etc.  Details about this internship:

    • Internship typically takes place from September to April 
    • Unpaid internship open to Juniors and Seniors with an exhibited interest in a healthcare career
    • Approximately 130 total hours of research and on-site shadowing
    • 1 Career Pathways Elective Credit
    • Must provide own transportation to MCR and complete certain immunizations to participate
    • Online applications typically open in early March and close in early April, but may be impacted by COVID. Details for the upcoming year will be posted on thompsonschools.org/WBL.
