Hello! My name is Dina Kreimier. I am a Colorado native. I have been married to my husband Steve for 38 years. We had 9 children (7 boys- Steve, Seth, Joe, Jared, Josh, Jake, Sam and 2 girls- Hanna, Hope). We have one grandchild (Steve) who is 13 years old and a new daughter-in-law (Hannah). I love spending time with family and friends. My favorite place to be is in the mountains enjoying quiet time with nature. I love coffee and jelly beans (not together).
All of my children graduated from Loveland High School and we have been so blessed to be a part of Thompson School District for so many years. Great things are happening and I am so excited to begin another year here at Winona. This will be my 10th year here. Prior to that, I taught at another TSD school for 3 years (2 years in kindergarten and one year in 1st grade). My first start took place in Poudre school district where I taught my first year of kindergarten. In total, I have taught 5 years of Preschool, 12 years of kindergarten, and one year of 1st grade. I am super excited to begin this year in First grade with an amazing team of teachers.
I attended the University of Northern Colorado right after high school. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Preschool Education and a minor in Psychology. I taught preschool at the University until I had my first child. Then I stayed home for 16 ½ years to raise my children. After returning to teaching preschool, I decided to attend Colorado Christian University where I received a Specialists Degree in Elementary Education. 10 years later I decided to fulfill my dream of getting my masters. I recently attended the University of Northern Colorado where I graduated with a M.A. In Teaching Diverse Learners with an endorsement in K-12 Special Education and K-12 Culturally Linguistically Diverse.
I am passionate about what I do here at Winona. I am super excited to get to know each and everyone of my students as well as their families. I hope that I can be as much of an inspiration to others as they are to me. Like they say, “We are all in this together!”.
