Gifted and Talented Education

IDENTIFICATION

Students are nominated for evaluation by the GT teacher at their school. Based on referrals from a classroom teacher or parent. They can be determined to need further testing based on their scores on previously administered standardized assessments.

LEARNING
PLANS

Colorado mandates that all identified gifted and talented students shall have an Advanced Learning Plan (ALP). Each newly identified student will have an ALP, to be reviewed and updated annually. Plans are developed in conjunction with school personnel, the student, and family.
