    Youth Mental Health First Aid
    February 25 & March 4, 2019 - Tuesdays (**Must attend both nights)

    Mental Health First Aid USA is an 8-hour training to teach participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it helps trainees identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

    Topics Covered Include:
    -Overview of mental health challenges
    -Typical vs. atypical adolescent development
    -Protective factors and risk factors
    -How to help students actively experiencing a mental health crisis

    ADULT SESSION: Dr. Eddie Mockus is a Licensed Psychologist and received his Ph.D. in School Psychology. Eddie has provided mental health and therapeutic support to children and families since 2006. His combination of clinic- and school- based training has provided experience and expertise working with families, schools, and primary care providers. **Intended for all Parents/Guardians/Family Members of Adolescents**
