    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Meets with students and parents along with school administration to address attendance concerns.  Completes attendance contracts, sends legal letters, attends truancy court.  Track students with delinquency charges and inform the District Court Magistrate of school attendance, grades, and behavior reports. Notify school administration of students who are detained. Attend weekly School Resource Officer meetings at the Loveland Police Department.  TSD representative for Child Welfare Education Liaison (CWEL), Youth in foster care.

    Truancy Prevention Specialist -Title I Elementary Schools

    Duties and Responsibilities:  Act as liaison and communicate with schools regarding truancy issues of referred students.  Initiate contact with families of students who are at risk of truancy and when necessary perform home visits with these families.  Provide information and assist families in access district, community and county resources to help reduce truancy.  Provide ongoing follow-up and support with families and students.
