Welcome to Peakview Academy at Conrad Ball

My name is Val Lara-Black, and I have the privilege of being the Principal of Peakview Academy at Conrad Ball, which will open in the fall of 2023!

I am currently the Principal at Mary Blair Elementary School where I have served the TSD community since 2012. I've been an administrator for a total of 16 years and I taught middle school Spanish, and Linguistically Diverse learners prior to that.

My greatest hope for this new school is that we provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for all of our students, staff, and families!

This process is going to be an exciting opportunity to join three learning communities: Monroe Elementary, Mary Blair Elementary, and Conrad Ball Middle School. Each community brings unique perspective, experiences, and strengths. It will be exciting, and even challenging at times, to work to draw from the best of all three to create our new, unified community of learning. I look forward to going on this journey with each of you!
