    SAT Practice Test

    • On Thursday, December 13, all Juniors will be participating in the practice SAT from 8:30 to 12:30.  We will take attendance in the test setting and students who are are present for the test will be excused from their morning classes.  Instead of reporting to advisory on the morning of the 13th, students will report to the testing location (see below for details).  All advisory/PRIDE teachers and 2nd/4th period teachers are aware that junior students are testing that morning.   The locations for students to report are as follows:
      • Last name starting with letters A-P will be testing in the cafeteria
      • Last name starting with letters Q-Z will be testing in room D222

      • Today is the last day to sign up for Chamber Choir Auditions.  Sign up outside of the choir room!
      • For the next two weeks, MVHS is hosting a fundraiser for Santa Cops. Please consider helping our families in need with donations of new, unwrapped toys, clothing, bath soap sets, and more. The box is located in the front office.
      • Attention Seniors Graduating at Semester.  You will need to check out of school before you leave for the winter break.  Please see Angie Lanting in the front office for your check out sheet. These will be available beginning Monday, December 17th.
      • Attention Mountain View - All students interested in Track & Field there will be meeting after school on Tuesday December 18th in the health room. Please come find out about Winter Pre Season Training and meet some of the coaches.
      • The cafeteria will be serving Domino's Pizza for lunch today.
      • Recycle bins will be checked on Monday and Tuesday of next week  due to the finals schedule. Friday December 21, in the afternoon, if Cathy Sampson has students still available she will try to get through the building.

      • Cocoa & Cram: This Thursday from 8:30 - 9:30 AM join us for Cocoa and Cram, a study session with staff members and specialized tutors on hand to help you study! As an added bonus to help you relax for finals, this Thursday (only) is pajama day - school appropriate pajamas - of course!
      • For the next two weeks, MVHS is hosting a fundraiser for Santa Cops. Please consider helping our families in need with donations of new, unwrapped toys, clothing, bath soap sets, and more. The box is located in the front office.
      • The thespian troupe will be selling singing candy-grams this week in the lobby during lunch and after school.  Stop by and pick one up for your friend or significant other. They are a great way to kick off the holiday season and let someone special know you care about them.
        One for $1 or three for $2.

        Sophomores:  Jostens will be on campus WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12th during lunch to hand out class rings that were ordered.  Josten will be on the stage in the cafeteria to distribute your class rings.
      • Seniors:  Jostens is willing to assist seniors on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 12th during lunch with their graduation orders. This is the last time they will be here in person to help with your questions.  You can meet with a Jostens representative to place your graduation order on the stage in the cafeteria. If you need an information packet, please go to the main office.
