      MVHS Announcements for March 13, 2020

      • Mountain View High School students you can win $250 to use towards making your idea a reality and a spot on TV by winning the "Thompson Kids Can Change the World" Contest! Submit your idea for changing the world by going to
        www.thompsonschools.org/ChangeTheWorld.
      • Seniors - you are all welcome to audition to be the speaker at graduation this year. If you would like this opportunity, please complete the application link was sent to your email. Applications are due by Friday, April 3rd. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Ramos, Ms. Griess or Ms. Hass.
      • Hey Mountain View. The school store will be open all this week during 8th hour. Take a brain break or convince your teacher to take a field trip to the school store to purchase snacks and beverages. Remember you can also purchase gift cards that you can load with cash for easier transactions. Mrs. Dekkers and Mr. Kaufhold hope to see you all at the school store this week during 8th period.
        Attention FBLA members going to state. Please make sure to give the first half of your dues and/or pick up your packet for FBLA state from Mr. Kaufhold this week.

Counselors have set up a campus visit tailored just for you on Thursday, March 26th from 12:00- 3:00 pm. There will be FRCC staff to help you with the application process and discussion of what classes to start taking. All permission forms are due to Ms Ramos in the Never Summer Center by Wednesday, March 25th. Stop in to see your counselor for a permission form.
      • The Thompson Education Foundation Scholarships deadline has been extended to March 25 at midnight. Be sure to get on their website to complete an application!

No need to prepare anything, we've got everything you need. Just be there!

Family and Consumer Sciences and the Business Department is happy to announce that our very own school store, The Lion's Den, will be opening next Monday, March 9th during 8th hour all week! During this period we will be selling snacks, drinks, and smartphone chargers. Keep your eyes out for posters this week that will advertise the store and what we are selling. We will also be selling gift cards that you can load with cash for quick transactions. Please see Mrs. Dekkers or Mr. Kaufhold if you are interested in purchasing a gift card.
