Families Partnering in Education is…
Families Partnering in Education is comprised of elected program parents and community members who volunteer and work together
with the Early Childhood Administrator and Family and Community Partnership Coordinator.RESPONSIBILITIES OF FAMILIES PARTNERING IN EDUCATION MEMBERS

Follow and implement the rules in Head Start manual as outlined in the Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007

Represent Head Start parents

Approve/disapprove Head Start budgets and component plans

Serve as a link between Families Partnering in Education, center committees and the communities served

Recruit volunteer services from parents and community
Families Partnering in Education helps our program

Understand the needs and ideas of our parents

Make plans for the program

Assess the work of the program
