Welcome to First Grade! This is where we will do a lot of reading, writing and investigating numbers. We will observe, think and question across the curriculum. Sound, light, insects, the sun, moon and stars are the science units we will explore this year. Social studies will include communities, leaders, cultures and traditions, the environment, national symbols and planning our futures.

In First Grade, we will become independent workers and thinkers as well as be team players.  We will learn how to work by ourselves, with partners, and in groups by using safety, teamwork, achievement, and respect.
