Registration (New Students)
The ideal candidates for FHS are between 16 and 20 years old and in 10th through 12thgrade. They have several credits and exhibit a great willingness to return to school. They want to achieve a high school diploma.
HOW DO I GET IN?
1) Complete an application – Turn in by the due date listed below:
Neatly print and fully complete all information. To be considered for enrollment the application must be complete with all the required registration documentation.
Return the completed application and all the required registration documentation by the deadline.
Required registration documentation:
• Current Transcript
• 3 letters of recommendation from a parent, family relative, teacher, boss, counselor etc.
• 1 letter from the student explaining why they want to attend FHS and their commitment to their education.
2) Attend an Enrollment Information Meeting:
Attend an Enrollment Information meeting prior to the start of a new hexter. Attendance of the Enrollment Information meeting is required.
This is your opportunity to ask questions, take a tour, and decide if FHS is right for you.
At the end of the enrollment information meeting you will schedule a time to interview with a FHS teacher and student.
2016-2017 Information Meetings and Registration Packet Due Dates:
All meetings begin at 5:30 PM in the FHS Auditorium
Quarter 1 2017-2018 Info Meeting is May 23, 2017 @ 5:30p
*New Students Hexter 6 – conditional upon number of applicants.
The interview will take about 15 minutes to 20 minutes
Students will be notified about the selection on the Friday after the information meeting.
Selected students are required to attend a FHS 101 meeting with their parents. Parents will complete the required annual enrollment forms and permission slips for the FHS Scholar Seminar camp trip. Selected students need to officially withdraw from their current school and pay fines and fees to the school they are leaving prior to the first day of the hexter.
