Garfield Elementary School
This year's premiere and finale of Kid TV is hosted by Garfield Elementary School. G.T. students. They take us on a journey to Great Barrier Reef, a visit with Leonardo DaVinci, a game show called Magic Mania and an awards ceremony for book authors hosted by the Cat in the Hat and featuring an insidious plot by none other than the Grinch himself.

The new season of Kid TV kicks off with two skits written for the small screen by 4th grade students from Cottonwood Plains Elementary. Then, students at Garfield Elementary share their sketchbooks and wild things.
Stepping Up [Episode 11]
In this week's episode, Mike and Wes profile the partnership between the Rialto Theater and Bill Reed Middle School. Our first guests are Kim Ackley-Charron, marketing director for the Rialto Theater and Diane Penny, band and choir teacher at Bill Reed Middle School. Next, three students from Bill Reed Middle School (Zach Klagge, Tony Klagge and Christina Ritschard) share their experiences with this partnership. Mike and Wes also run down the February 15th Board meeting, the winners of this year's Thompson Education Foundation Educators of the Year, and celebrate Mike's birthday.

Stepping Up [Episode 10]
Episode 10 of the 2011-2012 school year features a great partnership between Colorado State University and our Family Outreach and Early Childhood Programs.
Jane Everett, from the district's Early Childhood Program, and Gloria Major, from our district Family Outreach Program discuss the partnership. Next, Laurel Kubin, CSU's Larimer County Extension Director, and Sarah Robida, parent of a student at Garfield Elementary, join us to discuss the impact of the program on parents and families in the community.

Episode 9 of this season profiles the partnership at Carrie Martin Elementary that provides Christmas gifts to children in need. The first two guests are Cory Cunninham, a first grade teacher at Carrie Martin, and Jonah Gustafson, a 3rd grader at Carrie Martin. Next, Nicola Strait, a parent of students at Carrie Martin is joined by Kristina DiCarlo, another 3rd grade student at Carrie Martin.

Stepping Up [Episode 8]
This week's program involves a partnership that sends care packages to soldiers from our area who are serving in the armed services. Sara Trout and Andrea Brush, two seniors from Thompson Valley High School, discuss their roles in the partnership.

Mike and Wes profile the partnership that fostered the Garden Club at Van Buren Elementary. First up are Katie Guthrie, one of the Garden Club leaders, and Kendrick White, Principal at Van Buren. Next, Elaine Axon, another leader with the Garden Club, is joined by two Van Buren students- Stephen, Ritschard, a 3rd grader, and Ally Regelman, a 4th grader.

On this week's program, Mike and Wes talk about a partnership between Garfield Elementary and Volunteers of America's Colorado Foster Grandparent Project. They are joined by Naomi taggart, Manager of the project, Cheryl Cook, principal of Garfield Elementary, and MeKyle Taggart, a 3rd Grade student at Garfield.

On this week's program, Mike Jones and guest-host Ron Cabrera talk about the partnerships between the Loveland Area Integrated School of the Arts (LISA) and Centerra as well as other groups. First up are Kathy Gaasvig, district LISA coordinator and Sandy Sawyer, Lisa teacher and coordinator at Bill Reed. Next, two 8th graders from Bill Reed, Alia Jackson and Wyatt Orr, join Mike and Ron to discuss their experiences with the LISA program.

This week, Mike and Wes profile the partnership between the district Facilities department and Walt Clark Middle School. First up are Rob Stafford, Resource/Energy Conservation Manager for the district and Soloman Miller, STEM teacher at Walt Clark Middle School.
Next up, Hannah Elyse Hogle and Stephanie Gonzales, 8th graders at Walt Clark, share their experiences with the partnership.
