SOARS is an alternative education program run by the Thompson R2-J School District. It caters to Juniors and Seniors who have chosen not to pursue their education at a regular high school within the District. Learning is conducted using online software and is driven entirely by the student The Program is accessed in our two computer labs at Ferguson High School. SOARS also offers an opportunity for home-schooled students to enhance their curriculum by learning in a classroom environment with a certified teacher, where we can assist with math and science instruction.
Thompson Online offers a robust online education option for TSD K-12 students. Students have 24/7 access to their classes through an online platform and/or can come into the classroom for extra support. Students can participate as full-time or part-time students. Online teachers interact with students through multiple venues, creating a virtual learning environment. The school follows the same high school accreditation requirements, including TCAP assessments and Annual Yearly Progress expectations, as any other Thompson school.
L.E.A.P. (Loveland/Berthoud Enrichment Access Program) is a tuition-free part-time publicly funded enrichment program for home schooled students sponsored by Thompson School District. Classes meet at the Loveland Seventh-day Adventist Church, 950 N. Cleveland Ave., Loveland, on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 8:20-3:30pm. Students attend one day per week, classes are taught by state licensed teachers. Curriculum for use in the home is available from our lending library for those enrolled in the school.
E3 Learning is a personalized education opportunity available to students in grades K – 12 in Loveland and Berthoud, Colorado. We are part of the Extended Learning Opportunities Program facilitated by Thompson Schools at Ferguson High School. Our mission at E3 Learning is to seek out and pave the pathways for students to:
