“Summer in Thompson-Experiences
in Math and Science"
Provides half-day courses, taught by licensed teachers and content specialists, designed to extend and develop the talents of elementary and middle school students both academically and creatively. These mini courses are educationally enriching, diverse, creative, highly interactive, and appealing to students of almost every learning interest or special talent.
Summer Academy of Music
One-hour classes for incoming 6th grade students interested in beginning band or orchestra; current middle school band or orchestra students; and high school orchestra students. Summer Academy of Music will run Monday-Friday from July 18th – August 4th. Classes will be held at two locations, Thompson Valley High School and Conrad Ball Middle School. Times will be 7:30 am - 12 noon (depending on which instrument you will be playing). Registration for Summer Academy of Music will open soon!

English Language Development
Language development is a continuous process that requires daily practice.
The English Language Development summer school will provide English instruction, practice, and interaction with peers during four weeks of the summer to prepare students for the 2016-2017 school year.
Location: Monroe Elementary School (1500 Monroe Avenue)
Times: 8:00 am-12:00 pm
Food: Breakfast (8:00-8:30) and Lunch (11:30-12:00) provided
