Welcome Letter
Dear Parents and Community Members,
Welcome to the Thompson School District website. Thompson is a district of approximately 15,000 students in the Loveland, Berthoud and south Fort Collins communities that empowers, challenges and inspires our students to learn, achieve and excel.
This site is designed to provide you with information about our comprehensive offerings for students, beginning with Early Childhood programs and extending through college-level high school courses. You will also find detailed information about services that support our students including accountability processes, facilities, district bus schedules, school meals, athletics and activities, news, and department staffing.
Our schools today are much more demanding than in the past with far more academic choices as well as curricular and co-curricular activities. Today's graduates must be proficient in core academic subjects, and be critical thinkers, problem solvers and effective communicators with a global awareness as well as financial, economic and civic literacy. While schools are consistent in following the state core academic standards, each school has its own character and specializations, which you can read about in the school profiles on this site or by visiting the schools.
The site also has a New to District link for people relocating to our communities or who are new to the district. This area includes links to a variety of community services such as those provided by the City of Loveland and Town of Berthoud. We hope you will visit our schools either in person or via this site to see how dynamic and rigorous they are.
Thank you for visiting our website and finding our more about the Thompson School District. If you have questions, please email us at info@thompsonschools.org or call 970-613-5000!
Sincerely,
Stan Scheer
